Grange Road has been one-way for a couple of weeks now. You may have heard rumours that this is also a test-run for a more permanent solution to the Grange Road congestion problem. Let us know your views, either in the Poll, in the Comments section, in the Forum – or all three!

The solution to the traffic problem is pretty simple.

Those faded double yellow lines need to re-painted, and the parking restrictions enforced. The traffic problems start when vehicles can't pass each other – due to illegal parking.

One morning whilst walking past the "don't drive on the pavements" protest, I counted 8 cars parked illegally, on double yellow lines, and school zig zags (you get points on your license for that anywhere else in the country..)

Having areas for vehicles to pull in and let others pass works perfectly over the traffic lights on Manor Road, why doesn't it at the top of Grange Road?

I wonder what outcome of the SCC's report the residents of Grange Road actually want.. because by making the road one way (the cheapest solution) will dramatically increase the speed of the vehicles coming up it.. I dare say its happening already..

I thought the one way system through Grange road work quite well…at least it was much better than the current two way system.

Question: Should we be debating the success of the one way system or the best way forward once Grange road is one way?
I'd like to hear others thoughts……..especially from residents of Grange Road!…
